HAUNTOLOGIES

Ghost of a dream, the recovery of a train station as a waiting place through its rituals produced effects on a daily life that was suddenly interrupted, traversed, and hit; like the passage of a train at the intersection with the geography of oblivion.
Testimony of the investigation process and resurgence of El Heraldo de Tampico during the V TFM Festival (October 2016). Which once was the most influential newspaper in Northeast of Mexico disappeared after the longest labor strike in history. His reappearance, after 35 years, was marked as an exercise in counterfactual journalism and collective fictionalization. For 3 days the Stultifera Navis Institutom once again edited, printed, and distributed this newspaper at its original headquarters.
During the IV TFM Festival (Mexico, 2015), Stultifera Navis Institutom carried out a process of investigation and production of Hauntologies in the city and port of Tampico, Tamaulipas.
The ghost intervention process was carried out in the Insurgency Building, a historic site renamed by theater festival.
A retrospective article of the cycle, titled “The Ghost Newspaper: Fake Journalism in the Mexican Drug War” , was published in the media arts magazine Media-N Journal of the New Media Caucus at the University of Illinois in October 2021 (Volume 17, Issue 2, Pages 80-92)
